Saturday (March 30): Relaxing

 

Today was a pretty quiet day. Mommy and Daddy decided they wanted to make imprints of my hand and foot to hang in my room. I thought it would be a mess but it was okay. Then I did FaceTime with all my cousins in MA. It was great to see them and I hope I get to meet them soon.

 

I spent a lot of time relaxing today. I'm starting to stay awake for longer periods of time which seems to make everyone happy, I think because they can take more pictures :)

Friday (March 29): A Walk in the Park

The weather finally got nicer, so Mommy and Daddy and Nana and Sydney and I went for a walk in the park.

 

Unfortunately, I slept thru the whole thing!

But it must have been a long walk, because by the end Sydney was pretty tired too.

 

Then later in the afternoon, Mommy and Daddy took me to the gym where they go kickboxing.  I finally got to see the faces that go with those loud voices I've been hearing for the past few months.

Thursday (March 28): Quality Time

I had another good day.  I'm starting to keep my eyes open more often and I'm staying awake for a little longer, which meant I got to Face Time with my great-grandma, my great aunt, and my cousins.

Mommy, Daddy, and Nana think I make lots of cute faces, but I think they just want an excuse to take more pictures.

Wednesday (March 27): One Week Old Today

 

Happy One Week Birthday Jackson!!!

 

It was a busy day today. We went to the doctor for my first check up. I didn't like it there, it was worse than the bath.  But he said I'm growing big and strong. I gained a few more ounces and I'm already pretty close to my birth weight again!

Then Mommy and Daddy took me on my first shopping trip to a place called Lowe's.  Mommy says it was a very manly outing :)

We also went for a short walk with Sydney which was lots of fun.  Hopefully the weather will be nice and we can do it again soon.  Then Nana and Pop stayed and played with me so Mommy and Daddy could go have dinner.  We had such a fun time!

Tuesday (March 26): Tummy Time

I had my first tummy time today, Sydney and Daddy decided that they wanted to play too. 

 I was able to pick my head up and turn it to the other side.  Man, that was hard work!

Monday (March 25): A Busy Day

Just monkeying around after a visit from the nurse.  She says Mommy and I are doing great.  I gained 4.5 ounces since leaving the hospital on Saturday!

And then, I had my first Passover.  Nana read me a story about the 10 plagues and then we had dinner.  Well, Sydney and I watched while Mommy, Daddy, Nana, and Pop ate.

Sunday (March 24): Getting to Know You

Today was my first whole day at home and there was lots to get used to.  Seems like Sydney still isn't sure what to think of me.  She likes to sniff me when I'm in my swing and sometimes she even gives me kisses! 

 



I had to say goodbye to Grandma and Grandpa today.  It was sad, but Monny and Daddy are planning a trip to Ohio, so I will get to see them again soon!

Saturday (March 23): Home at Last!

We got great news today, Mommy and I were doing so well they were letting us come home a day early!

Getting all dressed up, no more hospital clothes for me!

Sharing in a family tradition.  This is the outfit Mommy and my aunts wore home from the hospital and my cousins wore for their baby namings.

One last check from the nurses...someone had to make sure Mommy and Daddy knew what they were doing, that carseat looked tricky.

Using great-grandma's blanket to stay warm, I thought it was supposed to be spring.

Friday (March 22): Lots of Diapers for Daddy

 Daddy got good at changing diapers...really fast!

Lots more visitors came today, but spending time with Grandma is the best!

Thursday (March 21): My First Day

 Jackson's first day.  Lots of sleeping, eating, and visitors!!

Wednesday (March 20): Here's Johnny!!! (actually Jackson..)

Jackson joined us at 1043am on Mar 20. He was 7lbs 2oz and 20.5 in at birth. Mom and Dad couldn't be happier!
